      Yes. Lab tests confirm that all Liquid-Plumr® products are safe for all household plumbing. However, we do not recommend using clog removers in rubber pipes. The products may damage rubber.

    • Is it safe to mix Liquid-Plumr® products with any other product?

      No. Do not use Liquid-Plumr® products with ammonia, toilet bowl cleaners or other non–Liquid-Plumr® clog removers, as splashing or the release of hazardous gases may occur. We do not recommend using Liquid-Plumr® products with non–Liquid-Plumr® products. It is safe to use any Liquid-Plumr® product in the same drain.

    • Is it safe to use Liquid-Plumr® products if I have a septic system?

      Yes. It’s safe to use Liquid-Plumr® products if you have a septic system. The ingredients degrade rapidly and will not harm the bacteria in your tank.

    • Can I use Liquid-Plumr® products in my toilet?

      No. Liquid-Plumr® products are not designed to remove the waste that may be clogging your toilet.

    • Can I use Liquid-Plumr® products in my dishwasher?

      No. Unfortunately, we don’t recommend using clog removers in a dishwasher. Dishwashers frequently use rubber attachments for draining, and clog removers may damage rubber.

    • Can I use my plunger with Liquid-Plumr® products?

      No. We do not recommend using a plunger when a clog remover is in the drain. There is a possibility that plunging will cause the product to splash back and get on you or your clothing.

    • Can I use Liquid-Plumr® products in marble, fiberglass, chrome or porcelain sinks?

      Absolutely. Use of Liquid-Plumr® products is safe for all types of sinks.

    • Will any Liquid-Plumr® products clear a foreign object or tree root that is blocking my drain?

      Liquid-Plumr® products cannot clear a foreign object or tree root from your drain. You’ll need to call a plumber to remove the object.

    • Is it safe to mix Liquid-Plumr® products with any other product?

      No. This product is not formulated to be safely used on skin. Follow first aid instructions on the label if this clog remover comes into contact with your body.

    • How do I know I have a “hair clog”?

      Hair is a major component in most bathroom clogs. If anyone in your household has long hair, you likely have a greater amount of hair in your drains.

    • Can I use Liquid-Plumr® Hair Clog Eliminator® in a washing machine or drain basin?

      This clog remover is not recommended for either washing machines or “laundry basins.” It was formulated specifically for fixtures with a plumbing “trap”, standard on most sinks. Additionally, the ingredients could compromise the outlet hose on your washing machine.

    • Can I use bleach in a drain I poured Liquid-Plumr® Hair Clog Eliminator® into?

      Yes, but this won’t be necessary. If the clog persists, we recommend using an additional dose of Liquid-Plumr® Hair Clog Eliminator®.

    • Can I use a plunger with Liquid-Plumr® Hair Clog Eliminator®?

      We do not recommend using a plunger when this clog remover is in the drain. Plunging may cause the clog remover to splash onto you or your clothing.

    • Is it okay to use Liquid-Plumr® Hair Clog Eliminator® on my bathtub or shower drain?

      Yes, you can use as recommended either in bathtub or shower drains.

    • How do I use Liquid-Plumr® Hair Clog Eliminator®?

      Slowly pour the entire contents of bottle over the drain opening; For slow drains, wait 15 minutes. For clogged drains, wait for the drain to clear. Then flush with hot tap water.

    • Can I use Liquid-Plumr® Hair Clog Eliminator® if I have standing water in my sink?

      Yes, but for best results, we recommend using either Liquid-Plumr® Full Clog Destroyer or Liquid-Plumr® Urgent Clear® for clogs with standing water.

    • Will Liquid-Plumr® Hair Clog Eliminator® improve a slow drain?

      Yes. It’s formulated to work specifically on slow drains caused by hair clogs that form at or below the stopper, or clogs that are caused by build-up.

    • Can I use Liquid-Plumr® Hair Clog Eliminator® in my toilet?

      We do not recommend using this clog remover in toilets. It is not formulated to remove the waste that may be clogging your commode.

      Yes. This product is specifically designed for use in your garbage disposal. It is designed to clean the disposal and drain with the assistance of the agitation from the disposal, similar to how a washing machine works. Although it will not damage a sink without a disposal, it will not clean a sink without a disposal effectively.

    • What ingredients are in this product?

      Ingredients include sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, and sodium lauryl sulfate and fragrance.

    • Is it normal to see foam in my sink or around the drain?

      Yes. When using this product, foam may rise up into your sink, or into both sinks if you have a double sink. It is also normal not to see foam. Even if no foam appears, the product is still cleaning and deodorizing deep in your drain and disposal.
