    My shower drain has been driving me crazy for years. Everything I tried, I still ended up using a plunger to finish the job. I saw this today and decided to try it. This is the first product in 20 years of a problematic drain that worked!

  • “Great stuff!”

    I've tried a bunch of products to get our tub/shower drain flowing well, from a lot of companies including Liquid-Plumbr, and frankly had concluded that our old house maybe just didn't have big enough drainage pipes. Still, I'm the kind of sucker who'll keep trying yet another product to deal with something that bugs me, and standing in 3-6" of water when showering--or using the shower at a near tickle to avoid that--was bothersome enough that I picked up a bottle of this stuff while in a buying daze at Target. I did leave it in for about 2 hours rather than the 15 minutes instruction in the directions (which is ok--the FAQ suggests overnight for particularly tough clogs). But I'd done this with other products to little avail. So I was pretty stunned when I ran the hot water to finish the job, and after briefly seeing no difference, suddenly seeing the water drained quickly. Great stuff.

  • Can I use Liquid-Plumr® Clog Destroyer Plu+ Hair Clog Eliminator™ as a depilatory (body hair remover)?

    No. This product is not formulated to be safely used on skin. Follow first aid instructions on the label if this clog remover comes into contact with your body.

  • How do I know I have a “hair clog”?

    Hair is a major component in most bathroom clogs. If anyone in your household has long hair, you likely have a greater amount of hair in your drains.

  • Can I use Liquid-Plumr® Clog Destroyer Plus+ Hair Clog Eliminator™ in a washing machine or drain basin?

    This clog remover is not recommended for either washing machines or “laundry basins.” It was formulated specifically for fixtures with a plumbing “trap”, standard on most sinks. Additionally, the ingredients could compromise the outlet hose on your washing machine.

  • Can I use bleach in a drain I poured Liquid-Plumr® Clog Destroyer Plus+ Hair Clog Eliminator™ into?

    Yes, but this won’t be necessary. If the clog persists, we recommend using an additional dose of Liquid-Plumr® Hair Clog Eliminator®.

  • Can I use a plunger with Liquid-Plumr® Clog Destroyer Plus+ Hair Clog Eliminator™?

    We do not recommend using a plunger when this clog remover is in the drain. Plunging may cause the clog remover to splash onto you or your clothing.

  • Is it okay to use Liquid-Plumr® Clog Destroyer Plus+ Hair Clog Eliminator™ on my bathtub or shower drain?

    Yes, you can use as recommended either in bathtub or shower drains.

(I'm convinced that the buildup of shaving cream over the years is the main cause). Most drain cleaners have provided only limited improvement. My roommate and I bought this as a last ditch resort after trying Drano and this was a LIFESAVER. Our drain was so clogged that it took over two hours for this to work its way into the pipes, but once it did the results were incredible. We let this sit for about 30 minutes, knowing our clog was bad, and then flushed with a few pots of boiling water. You would never know that our sink was virtually unusable this morning. My hair is thin and very fine and I lose a lot of it in the shower each day and we all know what that leads to- clogged shower drains. When our shower drain gets clogged I typically use 1-2 bottles of Drano or Liquid-Plumer, whichever one is on sale at the time I need it. Earlier this month we needed it so I bought Drano, but one bottle wasn't enough so the next time I was at the store I was planning to pick up a second bottle, but I saw Liquid-Plumr with hair clog eliminator. I know it's hair that is clogging my drain so picking it up was a no-brainer. I poured the whole bottle down the drain, waited 15 minutes, flushed it with hot water and the drain was unclogged! I will definitely be using this exclusively for our clogged shower drains from now on.

I've tried numerous products including "virgin sulfuric acid" with few results. I even tried normal Liquid Plumr. Nothing really helped--at times there was 4" of water in the shower after finishing a shower. I tried the Clog destroyer really on a whim, thinking that it wouldn't work either. WOW, was I wrong! After only one bottle, the water drained almost completely and after a second bottle there was no water left standing in the shower when I finished. That was a month ago and the water continues to drain completely. This is a really effective product and please whatever you do--don't stop making this product!
